Simply put, there is no green transition without digitalization. Yet, as with any major shift, success depends on building the right foundations. This session will explore how robust digital infrastructures—powered by solutions like FLSmidth Cement’s ECS/ControlCenter™, QCX/RoboLab®, and advanced sensor technologies—are critical to unlocking the full potential of Industry 4.0 in cement production. These systems generate high-quality data that serve as the backbone for advanced process and quality control. By integrating sample and process data, advanced process and quality optimization platforms such as ECS/ProcessExpert® and QCX/BlendExpert™ empower cement plants to implement key sustainability strategies—including alternative fuels, raw material substitution, energy efficiency, and carbon capture—without compromising product quality or operational stability. The presentation will also introduce emerging concepts like Adaptive Models and AI-driven process optimization, showcasing how these innovations are shaping the future of cement manufacturing. Finally, we’ll highlight the strategic role of service and subscription-based models in ensuring continuous access to the latest technologies, software, and expert support—helping our customers stay ahead in a rapidly evolving landscape.
